As weavers and connecters, we know first-hand that shifting the narrative of our borderlands—both in broader national conversations but also in our more intimate, interpersonal relationships with each other—requires honoring the ways our people have historically shared our experiences.
We remain rooted in this truth, guided by the ancestral wisdom(s) of storytelling, oral histories, and testimonios as technologies for change.
Our Stories for Change Incubator trains emerging leaders, cultural workers, artists, educators, and broader community members to transform the realities they witness every day into tangible, collective action.
Through leadership development, skills-building, and project-centered, cohort-based curriculums, the Incubator increases our community’s capacity to respond to the multiple, interconnected crises facing our South Texas today.
