Voces is working to diversify its resources, and we understand support of our work is not only defined by financial means. We have built connections with network partners, collaborators, and community members that sustain our work and have made it thrive. These partnerships are the foundation of our programmatic work and have spawned deep investment from partners, not just of financial support, but of time, imagination, faith, and care. Our goal is to steward that support through mutualism and reciprocity.

Guiding principles:

Voces Unidas is a grassroots organization committed to fostering community and supporting changemakers in the Rio Grande Valley through resourcing, capacity building, and healing justice centered programming. We envision a peaceful world without borders, upheld through interdependent networks of support and goodwill that are self-sustaining and replicable.

1. Small is All
   We believe in the power of small, intentional actions. By nurturing tight-knit, supportive communities, we lay the foundation for larger systemic change. Every conversation, relationship, and act of care contributes to the larger web of healing and justice.

2. Move Like Water
   As advocates in our community, we recognize the political tides are ever-changing. We no longer have the luxury of looking to our leadership for the right guidance. This leads us to adopt an historical action akin to evolution or migration, an act of great movement for communal prosperity. The transformation and adaptability needed to move like water leads us to transform ourselves, whether through material transformation such as in art-making or through the spiritual work of healing justice.

3. Interconnectedness
   Our work is grounded in the understanding that all things are interconnected. Healing is not an individual pursuit, but a collective one. We foster networks of mutual aid, recognizing that the well-being of one is inextricably linked to the well-being of all.
